I changed the device to my actual microphone and was then able to toggle it off and on from there. Then in the sidebar system tray (bottom right task bar) i right clicked on the app and hit devices. (on Windows 10) I think what fixed it was I opened up the MicMute app. Hey I had the same problem and it took me like an hour to figure out a fix, but I made an account just to post what worked for me to try to help. MicMute stopped working on upgrading to an Asus Xonar SE soundcard.
